School’s out for summer…

by administrator on July 24, 2018

…but we’re thinking ahead to September!

We’re delighted to announce that Christina Carty-Houson will be joining the Hummy Mummies team, taking over three of Richard’s classes and running one of her own. Richard is stepping back from teaching the classes to focus on writing lots of new arrangements and developing the Hummy Mummies franchise alongside Catherine.

Christina trained as a singer/actress and performed in the West End and across the UK for several years. She moved on to become a talent agent for the prestigious Soho agency Creative Artists Management. After maternity leave, she found her way back to music and has been teaching music and running choirs in primary schools for ten years. She started her first adult choir, Sing it Back, in 2011. Now called Vocallective, this fantastic community choir is still going strong.

Christina is proud to have been tutored by industry greats like Mark De Lisser (Kingdom Choir/Singology), Gitika Partington and Dr Gillyanne Keyes of Vocal Process, all of whom continually influence her work. Christina also works as a one to one vocal coach from her home in Kent, and leads an afternoon singing class in the area.
Christina feels thrilled and honoured to be handed the Hummy Mummies baton and can’t wait to dive in!

Welcome to the team, Christina!

Watch this space for information about new classes, new website (we promise, it’s coming!) and lots more.
